I learn the client's vision, space, mood, color, then choose the tile series, motifs, and glaze approach. Every tile is hand-mapped in a color placement drawing that becomes the production blueprint. The drawing goes to the tile rep to pull a sample set for review, since glazes shift in the kiln. Once approved, the order goes in and the drawing travels with the control sample to make sure the final product matches exactly.
