Awards
In September 2025, I was awarded Best in Student at the IIDA Cleveland/Akron City Center iDesign Competition for my project Bloom & Brew, a multi-functional coffee and floral shop concept designed for a younger, community-driven audience.
The Vision
The concept was rooted in the idea of the "third space," a public, pressure-free environment where people can gather, connect, and feel inspired outside of home and work. Every material, layout decision, and lighting choice served that vision.The design drew inspiration from Mid-Century, biophilic, and soft maximalist aesthetics, weaving greenery, natural light, and thoughtful traffic flow throughout the space.
Key design decisions included custom banquette booths with integrated planters, a floral shop wall with open shelving and Walker Zanger Cafe Water glazed tile, a kitchen bar featuring Horchow Demi Pink Jade pendants and mosaic tile, and a cafe lounge anchored by Flooma Blooming wood floors and Doco Flower Glass pendants.
